Last set done. The bar's racked, the dumbbells are back, and you're packing up. The agent will close the session for you, capture the duration, and ask if you want to log how it went before you walk out.

What the agent needs to hear

Behind your sentence, the agent works backwards to two pieces: confirmation that you’re done and, optionally, how the session felt. The exercises you completed, the duration, the volume — all of that is already known from what you logged. The agent just needs your nod to flip the session from “in progress” to closed.

If you completed every queued exercise, « done » is enough. If you skipped one or two, the agent surfaces them on the closing card and asks whether to mark them skipped or whether you want to log a quick set before closing. « Yeah, skipped those — close it » settles it.

When you finished vs when you closed

The agent uses the moment you confirm as the close time by default, and computes session duration from that. Most of the time that’s right. If you forgot to close earlier and you’re catching up the next morning, say so: « close yesterday’s session — I finished around 8:15 ». The agent backdates the close stamp, which keeps duration honest in your trends.

A session left open past midnight doesn’t auto-close. If you walked out without ending it, the duration keeps running until you come back. Closing late is fine; just give the actual end time so the workout doesn’t read as a six-hour epic.

The post-workout note (optional)

When you close, the agent will ask if you want to capture a quick post-workout assessment: overall how the session went, energy on a 1–5, any notes worth keeping (« back felt off on the second set of rows »). It’s optional — « skip it » closes the session without one. But if you log it, that’s what the weekly review reads to spot patterns. A back that felt off twice in a week becomes signal; one ignored once becomes nothing.

If you do log it, say it the way you’d say it to a training partner: « solid session, energy 4, back tight on rows ». You don’t have to hit each field — the agent picks what it can from the sentence and asks for whatever’s missing.

When the agent gets it wrong

The closing card is where you catch issues. If the agent surfaces a skipped exercise you actually did but forgot to log, push back: « no, I did that one — 3 sets of 10 at 60 ». The agent logs it and re-asks to close. If the duration looks wrong — you were at the gym for 70 minutes but the card shows 4 hours because the session started early — correct the start or end time: « actually I started at 7, not 6 ».

If you didn’t mean to close yet (you have one more set, you tapped the wrong thing in chat), say so: « wait, I have one more set ». The card backs off and the session stays open.

What makes a clean close

Three things decide whether the session reads correctly later: the end time is honest (now or the actual moment you finished — not an arbitrary later confirmation), the skipped exercises are tagged truthfully (skipped, not invented as done), and the assessment, if logged, reflects how it felt (not what the program asked for). The system reads these for duration, adherence, training quality, and your weekly review; a six-hour session left open quietly skews every metric until you fix it. Close it when you mean to close it, log the felt sense if it was off, and walk out.
