Create structured workout plans with routines, programs, and periodization.
Routines and programs are the foundation of structured training in verxion.
Routines
A routine defines your weekly training split — which exercises on which days, with target sets, reps, and rest periods.
Creating a routine
Ask your AI to create a routine from scratch or import an existing one:
"Create a 4-day Upper Lower routine"
"Import this routine: Monday - Bench 4x8, Squat 4x6..."
verxion supports the create_routine and import_routine tools. Import is the fastest path — describe your full routine in natural language and verxion parses it automatically.
Workout days
Each routine contains workout days with exercises. You can:
- Add, remove, and reorder exercises
- Configure sets, reps, weight, RPE, and rest time per exercise
- Set up advanced set types (drop sets, supersets, etc.)
- Duplicate days to create variations
Activating a routine
Only one routine can be active at a time. Activate it to start logging sessions against it:

Programs
A program wraps multiple routine phases into a periodized training block. Use programs for:
- Linear periodization — progressive overload across weeks
- Block periodization — hypertrophy → strength → peaking
- Deload scheduling — planned recovery weeks

Programs track your progress through each phase and can automatically advance when you complete a routine cycle.
