Voice mode

Log sets, meals, and weight hands-free with ChatGPT or any voice-capable client.

Voice is the most underrated way to use verxion. Mid-session, your hands are full and your focus is elsewhere — speaking a set takes a fraction of the time tapping one in does.

Where it works

  • ChatGPT voice mode (iOS, Android, web) — the most polished experience
  • Any client with speech-to-text — Claude Desktop on macOS via system dictation, terminal clients via Whisper, etc. The verxion side doesn’t care; it sees text either way.

Patterns that work

Speak the way you’d dictate a text message to a training partner. verxion parses exercise, weight, reps, and RPE/RIR from natural speech.

"Log bench press, one hundred kilos, eight reps, RPE eight"
"Squat, one twenty, five reps, then four reps, then three"
"That was a rest-pause — one heavy single at one hundred, then four, then two"
"Drop set on lateral raises — twelve kilos eight reps, ten kilos five reps"

For nutrition:

"Logged a chicken bowl with rice and greens, about six hundred calories"
"Two scoops of whey, around fifty grams protein"
"Glass of water, three hundred milliliters"

For state:

"Start my upper day"
"End the session, I'm done"
"How does the week look?"

Tips

  • Decimals: say “one hundred and two point five kilos” — verxion handles natural number phrasing
  • Units: say the unit explicitly the first time (“kilos”, “pounds”) so the parser locks in; later sets inherit it
  • RPE / RIR: say either — both are stored. “RPE eight” or “two in the tank” both work.
  • Corrections: if voice mishears, just say “correct the last set: one hundred and five, not one hundred”

When voice is a worse fit

  • Routine creation — a 4-day split with set/rep targets per exercise is faster to dictate as text once than to read back over voice
  • Anything that returns a chart or widget — you can ask, but you’ll want to glance at the screen

Privacy note

Voice transcripts in ChatGPT, Claude, and other clients are governed by the platform’s policy, not verxion’s. verxion only ever receives the text version of your prompt — the audio never reaches our servers.
